The Word Wrangler's Mind Lawn

Justin Daniel Tew was born and raised in the suburbs of St. Paul, Minnesota.

 

He has always been a thrill seeker and a lover of great fiction. His passion for creativity started in middle school, as writing zaney stories and drawing action heroes fullfilled his desire to imagine.

 

Justin skateboarded for thirteen years, kick-flipping and grinding on anything with a smooth surface.

 

After highschool, Justin attended culinary arts school and worked as a chef at local restaraunts. Over the years, he has developed a keen understanding for all aspects of art, placing the majority of his focus into graphite drawings, acrylic paintings, and poetry.

 

A bit of military service is always good for the soul, and Justin found some of his greatest years were spent in uniform. He said, "Leading men during war time was both a blesssing and curse, but more of a blessing in disguise. I met some of the best men in the service and they looked out for me." Justin served two tours in Iraq, earning numerous commendations for his efforts and the dilligence of his fellow soldiers.

 

After the military, Justin pursued a degree in Dental Assisting and is currently continuing his educational focus on Dental Hygiene.

 

Justin has three children and one on the way. He told me that he devotes all of his success to his dedication and wife's patience.

 

It wasn't until the winter of 2013 that he decided enough was enough, because the pot full of story ideas was boiling over on the back burner. His wife took the reins to the family and Justin had an opportunity to capatalize on an idea.

 

He wrote The Acolytes of Crane. He said, "If I can find the time, the sequel will be ready sometime this year."
